As a travel writer continually searching for microbreweries and unique experiences, my recent stay at Excelsis presented an enticing mix of luxury and value. The hotel is modern and impeccably clean, an impressive feat considering the ongoing renovations common to many establishments. Our room was pleasant, featuring a flat-screen TV and soundproofed walls ensuring a peaceful night’s rest, essential for two beer enthusiasts catching up on travel writing. While the breakfast spread was limited, it tasted fantastic, perhaps a result of being in low season. The dining experience in the restaurant, however, offered a delightful meal with a stunning view of the sunset, making it a worthy choice for dinner. The pools were a highlight; the indoor jacuzzi was incredibly warm, inviting us to relax after our exploration of Pag. Just a 15-20 minute stroll from the vibrant town center, the location is quiet but convenient. Excelsis provides a balanced value proposition, making it an intelligent choice for those seeking comfort without extravagance.
